The Position

We are looking for someone with a track record of success in selling automation or workflow centric platforms to corporate in-house legal teams. As part of a growing start-up, you are expected to be a resourceful, independent hunter who brings in and closes new opportunities, supported by our solutions and marketing teams. You need to be able to confidently and successfully lead, navigate and close a complex sales process involving stakeholders at all levels of the enterprise. The right person for the role will be able to build strong relationships with senior decision-makers and champions within legal teams such as the Chief Legal Officer, General Counsel, Head of Legal Operations, as well as stakeholders in IT and procurement.

In this position, you will:

+ Deliver against quota with a strong emphasis on new business sales to corporate in-house legal teams
+ Independently own the end-to-end process of a complex enterprise sale, from prospecting through to close
+ Forecast, manage, execute & report on your sales plan
+ Represent the Checkbox brand as one of the key faces of the company at events and in general
+ Iterate on the sales playbook and process to find opportunities for improvement


The ideal candidate would exhibit the following:


+ At least 3+ years of experience selling automation or workflow platforms to corporate in-house legal teams
+ Existing network of leads in the corporate in-house legal space
+ Strong experience in consultative, enterprise solution sales
+ Experience prospecting & selling to decision makers within in-house legal teams
+ Proven track record of delivering consistently to sales quotas
+ Sharp, quick & adaptable learner who is results driven and is a consistent high achiever
+ Able to work resourcefully and independently to deliver results with limited demand generation



+ Has previously worked for and significantly grown revenue for an enterprise SaaS start-up
+ Has a legal education background or previous career as a lawyer

Compensation will vary based on experience but will consist of salary, commission and stock options (ESOP).
