The Position

As the Events Marketing Manager at Checkbox, you will be the leader for our Events Marketing function, reporting directly to the Head of Marketing. Working closely with content, digital, design and product marketing, you will be responsible for executing brand awareness/lead generation projects through internal & external events (i.e. conferences, tradeshows and webinars). This role is perfect for a highly organized individual who is energized by leading, strategizing and coordinating best-in-class events.

Checkbox is an ultra-fast paced & high growth environment and in order to be successful in this role, you’ll need to love taking initiative, learn quickly, and be able to execute with first-class quality. You’ll be given the exciting opportunity to build and contribute to the organization’s go-to-market strategy, culture and success, and will be working closely with the Head of Marketing and CEO to do so.


In this position, you will:

+ Lead and manage the events marketing strategy.

+ Be responsible for the end-to-end execution of internal and external events for pre-event, during-event and post-event activities.

+ Manage relationships with event vendors, guest speakers and customers.

+ Be responsible for sourcing and analyzing events for sponsorship.

+ Be responsible for managing event inventory such as collateral & merch.

+ Build the foundations of our community marketing presence.

+ Manage event registration tools, such as event landing page creation, registration monitoring and webinar setup.

+ Work with the Head of Marketing, CEO and Head of Customer Success to organize events staff planning.

+ Report on the performance of events on a weekly basis to the Head of Marketing.


Requirements:

The ideal candidate would exhibit the following:


ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS

+ At least 1-2 years of experience working in events marketing for a B2B SaaS technology company

+ Strong experience in planning, organizing and sponsoring events

+ Proven results and outcomes from events management

+ Passionate about events, marketing, startups and technology

+ Highly organized, detail oriented and has a process-oriented mindset

+ Passionate about marketing efforts that make a significant business impact

+ Loves creating “wow” moments and are always thinking about how to get there

+ A great communicator; extremely comfortable talking to internal and external stakeholders

+ Sharp, quick & adaptable learner who is growth and results driven and is a consistent high achiever

+ Able to work resourcefully and creatively to deliver results
